CAMPUSatelier

CAMPUSatelier is a collective studio for public space in Ghent. The atelier has its base of operations in the New Ghent neighborhood and also works on a project basis in the Neermeersen neighborhood at the Watersportbaan.

CAMPUSatelier builds the imagination and experience of the square, the street, the park, the parking,…

CAMPUSatelier works together with people from the neighborhood as co-makers: inventors, designers, builders or users.

So a bench on the square grows, a pavilion in the park, a shady spot at the allotments, a stage on the wasteland, a support on the parking lot, a shelter under the bridge,…

CAMPUSatelier was given its name in reference to the many campuses that surround the district of Nieuw Gent: a university campus (UGent Sterre), a hospital campus (UZ Gent) and a school campus (De Deyne). With a focus on all open or hidden green spaces in and around the neighborhood, the studio was established in 2017.

CAMPUSatelier was part of Projectweek Publieke Ruimte.
